PlaneGadget-Radar    ADS-B Receiver

A quality virtual radar receiver  priced substantially lower than other receivers on the market with excellent performance.

The PlaneGadget Radar receives real time ADS-B transmissions from aircraft and through the PlanePlotter Lite software, displays them on your PC like air traffic control.

You can watch flights in your local area in real time within a practical range up to 200 nM depending on location and antenna arrangement. Identify those airliners you see flying over.

ADS-B contains information like the name of the flight, the ICAO number of the aircraft, the aircraft's current position, speed and direction, and how fast the aircraft is descending/ascending. This information is received by the PlaneGadget Radar and PlanePlotter software decodes this, placing the aircraft on a map of your local area.

The PlaneGadget Radar PGR-2 kit comes complete with all you need for immediate use including:

  • The USB PlaneGadget Radar Receiver
  • PlaneGadget magnetic base antenna with 2 meters coax cable
  • USB lead
  • CD with PlanePlotter Lite software and USB drivers

The PlaneGadget-Radar is supplied with PlanePlotterLite software from COAA*.  PlanePlotterLite lacks the data sharing facility of the full PlanePlotter software. For detailed information on PlanePlotter click here

PlanePlotterLite receives the information from the PlaneGadget-Radar receiver and displays it plotted on maps or in tabular form.

The PlanePlotter Lite software is provided by COAA and can be upgraded to a full version online for €25 Euros (+VAT for UK) see here. The full version has the networking functions that allow you to share information with other PlanePlotter users.
